Hi, I am Devangi, an aspiring fantasy artist on her way to become a fulltime illustrator.
I´ve been drawing and painting my entire life, started to share passion for art and the fantasy genre with my dad as I was a little girl. I remember sitting with him on the table, he was drawing some big eared feline creatures while we were watching “Masters of the Universe”.
I guess if there is a point in your life, where your inner artist is born, this moment was mine.
Many things I grew up with in books, comics and movies can still be found in my artwork : Strong, beautiful women, mystical beasts, armoured battle companions, cat familiars and whimsical worlds.
I also find a lot of inspiration in music and games.
For many years I used to do digital art, but since six years I use traditional media again.
I focus on watercolour, india ink, alcohol based markers and coloured pencils.
At the moment I live with my husband, my daughter and two feline sidekicks on a quite place in central Germany.
